The liquid cooling system is a separate ice chest that weighs 1.5KG (3.3 lbs.), dry weight.  It contains a 3.0-liter removable ice container, circulation pump, power source, and flow control switch.  When operating, it’s audible output is 45dBA.  Cooling energy is provided by freezing the water in the ice container.  Power is derived from the motorcycle battery using the supplied SAE or cigarette plug.  An optional 7.4V rechargeable battery can also be purchased separately. To operate the system, connect the vest tubing to the ice chest using the quick-connect fittings.  Turn the switch ‘On’ and the pump circulates cold water in a continuous loop between the ice chest and vest.  Users can expect a cooling duration anywhere from 2 to 4 hours depending on ambient temperatures and workload. 3 settings for regulating coolant flow lets the User minimize or maximize their ice energy.  Low flow produces less cooling and conserves ice.  High flow produces more cooling for a shorter period. Additional ice containers can be purchased for prolonged cooling.  Ice cubes can also be used for prolonged cooling, although the cooling time will be lessened. User can purchase an extra vest and one Y extension tubing to make the solo system to Tandem system.
